St Aubin's Bay is one of the biggest bays on Jersey, but it's not the prettiest. The little village is quaint, with an attractive harbour but the beach, which is good for beach combing, runs alongside a major road. You can easily nip into the island's capital, St Helier, for tax-free shopping and a wide choice of bars, restaurants and nightclubs. This resort is most likely to appeal to the older generation as it's unthreatening but rather unexciting - too much of a home from home for most tastes. Accommodation is mainly in small St Aubins Bay Hotels.

St Aubins Bay Great for families
|
Be sure to visit Elizabeth Castle, reached by a mile-long causeway which does get cut off at high tide and head to the next bay, St Brelade's, for a perfect example of an ideal family bucket and spade holiday spot. The lavender farm just inland is also worth a visit as is Mont Orgueil Castle and Corbiere Lighthouse - all easily accessible. St Aubins Bay Hotels.
The other Channels Islands of Guernsey, Herm, Sark and Alderney and the French mainland can all be visited for the day. And the whole island can be explored by car in a day - visit Jersey Zoo, the German Underground Hospital and the island's lavender farm. St Aubins Bay Hotels.
